LED Light Therapy

LED Light Therapy LED Light Therapy

Wavelengths of light to stimulate cells, increase circulation, and promote collagen growth. The Bio-Synthesis™ Light Activated Rejuvenation System utilizes LED photo modulation technology to activate cellular metabolism and energy.

Bring your skin into the light for a clear and radiant skin!

The Therapeutic Power Of Light  Light.  It’s a part of our day to day survival. Everything we see is a variance of light, as it is light that carries information from our eyes to our brain; creating and translating images of the world in which we live in. Throughout history, a number of findings prove that color and light have been used for centuries to facilitate healing and well being. In skin care, phototherapy has been used to treat such skin disorders as psoriasis, eczema and acne. It is also traditionally used in neo-natal wards to treat infantile jaundice. The recent surge of light based procedures like laser, IPL and LED that has made this technology a principal player in the fight against aging skin.  LED stands for Light Emitting Diodes and often referred to as light therapy. This nonthermal procedure utilizes the natural visible light spectrum with its different wavelengths to trigger a rejuvenation process throughout skin layers. Light therapy has become one of the most popular beauty treatments in many parts of the world.  LED is a noninvasive approach to working with light, and during the past 10 years, independent worldwide research from organizations such as NASA has shown that light applied in the correct wavelength stimulates intercellular communication, resulting in skin rejuvenation.  Red and near-infrared have beneficial effects on cells by "kick-starting" them into immediately creating more ATP (cellular energy) and increasing DNA and RNA activity.  This effect has been carefully studied in many published reports since 1987.

LED Light Skin Benefits

  • Painless and relaxing, with no recovery time
  • Can be done on all skin types, regardless of ethnicity
  • Rejuvenating; produces collagen, elastin and ATP(cellular energy)
  • Hydrates and revitalizes skin
  • Improves circulation
  • Diminishes the signs of aging
  • Improves the color and texture of the skin
  • Calms and soothes skin irritations and inflammation
  • Purifies; destroys acne-causing bacteria
  • Safe and has no risk of burning the tissue
  • Accelerate healing by reducing erythema, edema, and bruising
  • Encourages smoother, softer skin
  • Diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Visibly firms, tones and contours
  • Improves sun damaged skin and reduces pore size.

How it works ?

LED light energizes the skin's cells similar to to the way that sun energizes plants through photosynthesis. When we are exposed to LED lights, we are given energy that can be used by human body. LED light therapy is responsible for generating the energy current in the human body. During this energy transfer, there is a state of intense relaxation that takes place, which seemingly transforms 15 minutes into 4 hours of perfect sleep. LED triggers the body to convert light energy into cellular energy without thermal injury to tissue. LED treatments provide the energy (ATP) cells can use to accelerate the production of collagen and elastin, stimulate lymphatic drainage, promote detoxification of cells through increased waste disposal . The defining feature of LED is its use of one single wavelength to address specific concerns. But with growing variety of beneficial wavelengths, layering LED treatments offers optimal results. Our system offers four cell-specific wavelengths that are applied in cycles to the skin. The different wavelengths run at 5 to 10 minute intervals. Nanometers, which to the human eye are seen as the visible light spectrum, have significantly different penetration capabilities, and therefore offer the possibility to realize unique reactions at different levels of the skin. The light therapy device is placed very close to client’s skin to avoid energy loss.  LED light is visible as a colored light – such as red, yellow, blue and green. Our LED device features 3,000 LED’s for each individual color. The color influences the response in the skin. We understand that different colors vibrate at different frequencies and wavelengths. This relates to the fact that different colors will have a different absorption rate by the tissue and have a different effect on the cells. It is best to use a variation of color versus just one color because we can increase the number of skin conditions we can treat. A quick guide to the light colors and their therapeutic purpose as follows:

Blue light (470nm)

Indicated for acneic skin. Reduces bacteria and helps with dehydrated skin.

Green light (525nm)

Indicated for hyperpigmented skins. Acts to detoxify skin by reducing irritation, sensitivity and redness. Also helpful for rosacea and irritated skin which has undergone procedures such as hair removal and IPL.

Yellow light (590nm)

Indicated for sensitive skins. Helps reduce inflammation and edema. It is the second deepest wavelength.

Red light (640nm)

Indicated for aging skins.  It is stimulating, increases circulation, collagen, and elastin production. Stimulates blood and lymph circulation. Also known to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, improve overall skin texture. It penetrates the farthest.

How many treatments?

The number of treatments needed varies with different skin types and conditions. A series of 8 to 12 sessions spread out over a period of 4 to 6 weeks is recommended. On average, a maintenance treatment is suggested every four to six weeks. Some results may take a few times to become visible on the skin surface, since changes are initiated in the dermis. The effects may last for as many as 90 days once the optimal results are achieved. The effects are CUMULATIVE!

What are the benefits of combining LED light therapy with other treatments ?

  • After facials to enhance the treatment.
  • When light therapy is combined with microdermabrasion, chemical peels or laser resurfacing, you’ll see roughly a 50% increase in healing time and 80% reduction in swelling.
  • Minimize pore size, lighten skin tone and improve texture in combination with microcurrent.
  • Improves result longevity, speed recovery time,  decrease in bruising and inflammation when used with cosmetic injections.
  • Can be used after waxing because the light can help to calm and soothe waxed skin, causing the redness to subside more quickly than it would on its own.

Who is NOT a candidate for combined therapies or individual treatments ?

  • Clients who are currently using medication that causes light sensitivity.
  • Light therapy is not preformed over an open wound,  infected or oozing lesions until they heal.
  • Cancer.
  • Epilepsy.
  • Pregnancy.
  • After recent steroid injection.
